For me, the friends I have now have genuine purposes but back then, being an overacheiver at my school, people befriended me to pass their grades. And I got really used afterwards, this made me realise that being too kind or pleasing everyone else was not a good virtue..... Just wanted to share.

I don't have many friend and those that I do consider "friends" are people that I know for a long time. I feel that friendships don't happen over night if they do they usually don't last because there was some agenda. But friendships that last are those that have blossomed and grown.

My "friends" have been my friends since elementry and junior high. and Im an adult now, with children, I find that people today, mostly have an agenda, But I would love to belive that a true friend can stil be found, "'every blue moon'" so be carefull frienship is earned, dont be so quick to trust.

It's all psychology. People, no matter who they are need to be needed!!! Some people are sociopaths who prey on other that's true but it is a deep seeded need to be wanted. So, to answer your question everyone uses everyone to meet their needs regardless of the circumstances. That's life. Just be careful, judge people on how their behavior effects you and never their words!!

hey i think everyone makes friendship for a reason. we don't even know that sometimes cause we don't think deeply.
the first thing is that u need someone around to listen to u and stuff like that so i think there is always an agenada behind it.

Well, there are definitely people out there who have ulterior motives. As you get to know them however, your discernment skills sharpen and their unsavory schemes unravel.

People use people. Period. A 'genuine' friend just hasn't found a way to use you yet.
