It depends on which definition of "meek" you are using. The humble meek, no. The submissive meek, yes. There's a difference. The latter would be much more likely to blindly follow the instructions of a stranger on a phone telling them to strip-search and humiliate an innocent person. (Seen 20/20 lately?)

Mock the meek? Hmmm. Depends what you consider meek. Meek, does not mean weak. Humble comes to mind. Nor should you confuse kindness with weakness. What comes to mind is the original episode/movie of Kung Fu. The monk was meek, but I certainly wouldn't mock him. It takes great strength to be meek.

I'm actually writing an essay for political science right now and the things Hitler did...
Wow.
He made his own citizens meek and then mocked them in the concentration camps.
I never want to be associated with the same lack of benevolence as him.
And yes, i realize this is sort of off-topic.
But it's kind of the same thing.
The meek (in terms of humility) deserve respect, not mocking. For they are strong in spirit and that is a wondrous gift to have.

Not if I am aware of the fact they are indeed meek & deserving of my respect as much as the next person..however,if they are seeking the opposite,they in turn will be treated as the next person in accordance of their behavior..I do not like being played..meek or not.

sometimes. i consider drinking and doing drugs to make you meek and i mock them. escaping the world thru drugs and cutting and alcohol is a sign of weakness so i mock em all the time. survival of the fittest and not allways physical you ahve to be mentaly strong so i make fun of the meek minded. FU*K the weak the strong will survive

no i defend the meek when possiable for people are cruel and are taking out there anger on people who are to scared to stand up for themselfs
