Is the new FF game a sequel.Because i really am thinking about getting it?

final fantasy xii is not a sequel. aside from sharing the same name as its predecessors... in fact its different in MANY ways from the previous FF series... game style, fighting, leveling, etc... its the new age of final fantasy man ...lol but seriously you might be thinking about ff x-2 which was a sequel to final fantasay x... and x-2 did introduce us to the license board ... but yea you can say final fantasy finally(no pun intended yo) matured a little... actually it did try to mature once before nad faced much criticism...that being ff 8 ... which was a hella good game ...but too dark for e1 else or w/e... awesome story... this is w/o a doubt one of hte best ff thus far(im talkin about 12)... my advice? go get it... why u still reading this crap?? lol ;-)

FF XII is not really a sequel. The world you play in is based off of the world in FF Tactics Advance. I have a demo and it seems interesting enough, but I'm gonna wait for the price to drop...

If FF12 is a sequel, then so are the other ones. No it's not a sequel, because the characters are different.

No, it is a stand-alone game. It is not a sequel of any kind. But I definately suggest you get this game. It is killer.
