Sometimes when you lose your mucus plug it means that you could start labor soon, but that is not always the case. It could take a couple of weeks. And if you are very active than your water could break, but it could also break when you are just sitting and resting. It is really hard to tell. But if you want to get the show on the road...go ahead and walk. Walk, walk, walk, but not if it hurts to do so. In that case or if you arnt in a hurry, take it easy. But really, no matter what you do, that baby will come when he/she is ready. Good Luck! Its exciting! I have a 6mo old

I lost my mucus plug early and then went 3 weeks with nothing happening. I ended up giving birth to an almost post-term 9 lb 2 oz giant. Honestly, it means you are getting closer to labor but not that it's immanent in the very near future. When you go to your next OB appointment just let them know what you think happened and they'll check you.
Do not worry about calling your doctor. Losing the mucus plug is totally normal at this stage. The only way infection can enter is if you have a membrane rupture. And you'll know if that happens. If you notice a steady trickle of fluid THEN I would go to the doctor.

It does mean you might go into labor soon. I lost mine a week before i went into labor and my docotor told me you can lose it a couple of weeks or days before you acutally go into labor. Good luck on your baby.
* You pass your mucus plug or notice "bloody show."
You may pass your mucus plug — the small amount of thickened mucus that's sealed your cervical canal during the last nine months — if your cervix begins to dilate as you get close to labor. The plug may come out all at once in a lump, or as increased vaginal discharge over the course of several days. The mucus may be tinged with blood (which may be brown, pink, or red), which is why it's referred to as "bloody show." Having sex or a vaginal exam can also disturb your mucus plug and cause you to see some bloody discharge even when labor isn't going to start in the next few days. In either case, if you see more than a few spots of blood, be sure to call your caregiver immediately because it could be a sign of a problem.

I lost my mucus plug at around 35 wks and didn't go into labor until I was induced at 37 weeks. It doesn't mean immediate labor, but is a sign that your body is preparing for labor. As for physical activity, I personally do not believe that it will make things happen any faster. I was very active for the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy and it didn't cause me to go into labor. However, every person is different and you never know! Congrats and good luck!

Your labour could start any time from here on in, if you want things to progress a little faster, try walking around, now the plug is gone I wouldn't suggest sex to bring on labour, with the plug has gone your baby will be more susceptible to the outside germs and such, who ever told you your waters could break any time from now on is correct, the baby will now be in more of a position to be pushing down harder on your cervix, causing it to dialate which will bring on your labour.

Losing your plus is part of the labor process, it can be hours, days, or even weeks before your water breaks and you start active labor.
Theres no way of knowing.
Yes, any kind of rigorous physical activity can bring on labor during pregnancy. Excessive walking included.
Its best to get checked to see how things are going :) Then you will know and your doctor can best advise you acording to your personal situation.

Well it sounds like your mommy days are very near. That is the first thing that happens. If your water doesn't break you will likely get labour pains soon. Call your doctor for more advice. All the best....Happy diaper days!

you better call the doctor right away. I heard that after that, you could go into labor, but if you don't get it taken care of soon, the baby could become sick or infected in some way. you may have a small baby, but if you don't see a doctor, you may not have any baby.
