Spending time with your family, having a meal together, talking, etc.

Decorating the tree together is my absolute favourite. I don't need presents or anything, as long as I get to decorate the tree.

I think that everyone who believe in Christmas should be unite in prey that night en nothing else that is, for my opinion, the secret of being devoted to the right thing and not spending night getting drunk on a sacred day or stoned or kill someone or playing hazard games specially devouring turkey poor animals what they deserved to be treated like that

The spirit of Christmas lies with the spirit of the world who has "the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one". 1 John 5:19. It also has paganistic history. It comes from a "dirty" place, which Christ and God would not want to be associated with. Hence, that's why no one knows the real date of Christ's birth, for God did not want it to be celebrated, but wanted his death to be commemorated, that's why we know specifically when he died.

God wants us to share gifts and have family/friend gatherings, but at a time that God approves of. We have 365 days per year to celebrate with family/friends. Why wait for one day out of the year to spend time with friends/family and give gifts, that has nothing to do with Christ on Dec. 25?

P.S. I accidently hit on this question thinking it was under "religion and spirituality". Sorry to offend anyone by answering this with the bible's point of view.

Thoughts about mankind where we have been where we may be heading. Giving gifts and giving some extra to charities. Gathering with family and friends. Enjoying the lights and decorations people do to their places. Putting up a tree with the ornaments. Trying to make children stay in awe and keep the magic alive.

for me, personally, the spirit is love...God loved us so much that He sent His Son to us and for us...His on, Christ, taught this love to everyone He encountered...so i celebrate the precious Gift of Christ...it's like a huge birthday celebration...and i give gifts to others...He said that whatever you do for 'the least of these' you do for Him...so people are really getting Christ's gifts in His place...that's one reason i have never exchanged a gift that i have been given...

In the USA it's what presents am "I" going to get and how much did it cost. Our society has turned into a "me" first society and it sure is a shame to see......
