just curious as to why some people are part of their dreams and others are observers

Those seem like very different questions, but my answer for both is the same: Most people rarely remember their dreams, and some people (almost) never do. I don't think that these are either/or situations. Speaking from personal experience, sometimes my dreams are in b/w, sometimes in color. Sometimes I'm in the dream, sometimes I'm not. Sometimes I'm in the dream, but I'm watching from outside of myself - either just observing, or occasionally even as someone else. Also, sometimes my dreams have sound, sometimes not. Sometimes smell, sometimes not. And, at least once, a dream even had taste! (That one woke me right up! I put foot cream on my toothbrush by mistake. YUK!)

I've never heard of that.I've always dreamt in color.I guess it depends on the person.I don't really think you can control your dreams.

you're an observer when you have no issues, you're part of your dream when something is bothering you.

when someone dreams in black and white it means they are depressed and perhaps seperating themselves from others
