I would assume it can get consumed in a blackhole, or get absorbed by something else (matter) getting converted into a different form of energy (thermal). Also depends on which kind of light your talking about - uv, infrared, visible, radiation, gama-rays, light particles, x-ray, etc. Each variation responds differently to assorted stimuli.
Here's another one. What would happen to light, if you were approaching the speed of light and also emititng light at the same time?

Because light is not a physical, tangiable thing it encounters no drag/friction and does not diminish as it travels, therefore in theory once it has been produced it will continue in the direction it is travelling until it encounters an obstacle upon which it will shine until such time that the last of the light produced by the source reaches the obstacle. If that makes sense.

The deep space photos taken by Hubble tell us that light has traveled billions of years as the photons have just reached earth. Light can be absorbed as clouds often do this but if there is nothing to interfere with light, it will continue forever.

Yes it is possible because scientists just revently a few years ago discovered dark matter and dark energy. And we have not sufficient information about that so there can be some theories that real stuffs like stone, metal or us even light can evaporate into dark stuffs or vice versa.

What you're asking is, can a photon die? No. It can be absorbed and converted to another form of energy (generally heat) but if it encounters nothing else, it won't just fade away. It will just keep going, regardless of how far or how long it's been going.

well remember that they say how far is a star for what kind of light we get here on earth... so i would say it may be possible that the light change in a way where we may no get it

eventually, the energy in the light beam will dissipate once the source itself is extinguished...or if the light beam enters the gravity well of a black hole.

Yes. One day the sun will become a Rednova. Then it will become a White Dwarf and then finally die into a Black Dwarf. So yes. Light can run out.
