I have downloaded a movie from azureus but I do not know what to do next! I can't open the program in windows or real player. Real player will play the sample but the sample is only 3 secs long. I need some insight as to what the next steps are, like what program can I view the movie to make sure it is good? And what program is good for burning, is Nero good?

The awful truth is that there is a HUGH number of video file types. There is no universal video file type. Different media players support different file types and a person can develop a headache trying to figure out which media player can play the video file one has. One solution is to choose a media player which can play several video file types. I recommend VLC media player. It can literally play anything. The download site is http://www.filehippo.com/download_vlc/

If you are a glutton for punishment, you can read about.com's article on the video file and media player problem:

"What Exactly is 'Codec', and Why Would I Ever Need It?" (http://netforbeginners.about.com/od/multimedia/f/codec.htm)

If you want to burn a video, Nero is a good choice but it will cost you approximately $100. The cheapest legal copy I have seen advertise is $69.00 at www.newegg.com. There are some free alternatives. If you are interested in learning about them, drop me an e-mail.
