I have a friend graduating from UM at Morris. Most likely will fly into Minneapolis, rent a car, and drive there. If I wanted to stay for a week or two (that's a secondary question, how long should I stay?) and my friend's too busy to be my tour guide, what should I do there aside from go to the graduation?

If you're going to stay in Morris, there is not much to do, so don't stay 2 weeks! It only has about 5,000 people and although it's a pretty town, it's dull.

If you're talking about going back to the Twin Cities after your friend's graduation, there is plenty to do here to fill up a week or two. It depends upon what you like. If you like outdoors, go skiing at Afton Alps. If you like shopping, you'll want to spend a day (yes, a day) at the Mall of America and maybe hop on over to IKEA as well. You could catch a Timberwolves game at the Target Center downtown or a Wild game at the XCel Energy Center in St. Paul. Check out the link for more info:

Ask your friend what there is to do and see there. Contact the local Morris Chamber of Commerce for tourist infor... does your friend have someone with like interests as yours
