This is something which should be investigated, because it can affect you in the future, with your fertility and hormones. Best to go to a gynecologist and get various tests; she can determine if and what something is wrong, and ways to help out.
I know you are young, but for example, I always had irregular periods - like you describe, and thought nothing of it. It was nice some months to not have the hassle. However, in my early 40s, I began having other hormonal trouble, and when it was investigated, it turns out I have PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome. I would have had it since high school, but the symptoms I had them were the irregular periods, weight gain, and trouble sleeping. Other symptoms crept up in my 30s - excess hair, dark patches on my skin, trouble conceiving. It was too bad that I waited til I was in my early 40s to get diagnosed.
So, I'm not saying it is that - didn't mean to scare you or anything - but just an example.

The best thing for you to do would be to contact your doctor about this. It could be any number of things. I myself suffer from polycystic ovarian syndrome, which in some causes sporadic or heavy cycles, or like me you cease to have them at all. Either way you need to see your doctor to make sure it's not serious and to get treatment if needed.
Good Luck!

You might be pregnant if you have had sex around those times, but it is not normal to not get your period for months at a time...consult your doctor immediatly..you might have something seriously wrong with u...or are u taking birth control?if so that sometimes slows your periods but it shouldnt stop completely..

first of all, are you pregnant? could you be? if that is completely ruled out, than you may have a severely abnormal period, or it could be something wrong with your fallopian tubes, etc. go on BC talk to your doctor.

you didn't say if you have had sex when all that started. you might be pregnant or, have you been under a lot of stress when all that started. your nerves will effect your period too. either way i would go see a doctor.

Do you have any other symptoms? Weight gain, depression, unusual hair growth? It could be pcos(polycystic ovarian syndrome). You probably should see a gynecologist.

Maybe you lost too much weight so your body isn't able to have a cycle.
