well, she-males are actually caused by extreme hormonal fluctuations during the part of pregnancy where gender is determined. estrogen/testosterone levels change in the middle of the formation of genital parts, so they end up with both. at least, it's a theory.
and in the last sentence, you use the word "remedy" like it's a disease. there's really nothing wrong with it - it happens in every species that reproduces sexually, so it's no big deal.

I read a study about that a couple years ago, can't remember where, but it also had something to do with the thyroid and other things endocrine, and the brain, so that would probably include psychology somehow, not innate wiring. I think it's possible to have someone with certain imbalances keep feeling differently inside and without meaning to, "switching" all the time, not just mentally or emotionally, but physically too, coz you can see it when a person looks more feminine/masculine, their looks change in ways not regulated by themselves. BBBut...prove it. Can't think of the remedy, but that would be interesting if someone could find the balance.... Some people have other accompanying things that make them feel uncomfortable when the "shifts" occur, such as hot flashes, loss of period, hypomania, etc.

No - homosexuality is likely a personal choice. Many advocates say that it's possible that there's a hormonal or genetic cause, but it's never been proven. So mostly you have to listen to a lot of theories, and no evidence, when this topic comes up. The reason you will hear so many wild thories is that this is a favorite topic for young people - and young people have less education. They love wild theories! You'll get better answers from older people.

Actually, there's more male and female hormones than the ones you mentioned. As a transwoman in transition, I've been to both ends hormonally. My sexuality has not changed with the hormone change. There goes the whole hormone theory.

Over many decades - scientists have never found a SPECK of solid evidence that gays and lesbians have hormonal imbalances. Not a shred of proof. When they are tested with sophisticated testing, they invariably test as normal as anyone else. Exceptions are as rare as can be.
by the way, among hetero straights, hormonal imbalances are equally rare. They are quite uncommon.

Your logic is somewhat flawed. If the level of hormones determined sexual orientation, research would have figured that out and homosexuality would never have been removed from the list of psychiatric illnesses. Instead, people would be treated with hormone replacement therapy.

This theory has been debunked a long time ago. They tried giving gay men more testosterone and they just got to be more horny gay men. Hormones have shown no relevance in determining or effecting sexual orientation.

No, being gay or lesbian is not caused by a hormonal imbalance. In fact, it takes just the RIGHT BALANCE to create a gay or lesbian person. All too often, it's not possible and the end result is a heterosexual, who are mostly responsible for the world's overpopulation.

No idea, but interesting point. Never thought of it that way...Chemical imbalances are also what cause depression. Ofcourse, that's not an excuse not to deal with the situation...
