Women have discharge all the time for different reasons and different amounts.
Female Health
Vaginal Discharge
Vaginal discharge is normal and varies during your menstrual cycle. Before ovulation (the release of the egg), there is A LOT of mucous produced, up to 30X more than after ovulation. It is also more watery and elastic during that phase of your cycle. You may want to wear panty liners during that time.
The things to be worried about include if the discharge has a yellow or green color, is clumpy like cottage cheese, or has a bad odor. If worried, see a doctor.
Different Types of Discharge
Is this normal?
Different Types of Discharge
White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.
Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.
Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.
Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.
Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.
Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle. Sometimes early in pregnancy you may have spotting or a brownish discharge at the time your period would normally come. If you have spotting at the time of your normal period rather than your usual amount of flow, and you have had sex without using birth control, you should check a pregnancy test.

Is this normal?
We receive many questions about vaginal discharge through our "Ask the Expert" section. Below physician assistant Steven Johnson, explains what is normal and when to see a health care provider.
One of the challenges to answering questions sent into a health care Web site is making sure that the person asking the question seeks the advice and care from her doctor when appropriate. There is often information NOT given that can really change the answer.
For instance:
How old are you (really)?
Are you on medications or do you take herbs or vitamins?
Do you have pain or itching?
Are you pregnant?
Do you have other health problems (like diabetes)?
An important question is sexual activity. Sometimes it isn't accurate to simply say yes or no. Symptoms can depend on the number of sexual partners, kind of sexual partners, birth control, birth control failure, kind of sex you are having and if abuse is involved. I think you can see, it can get pretty complicated to get all the information needed to give the best answer possible.
With that said, here is my best answer to the common question of vaginal discharge.
A normal vaginal discharge consists of about a teaspoon (4 ML) a day that is white or transparent, thick to thin, and odorless. This is formed by the normal bacteria and fluids the vaginal cells put off. The discharge can be more noticeable at different times of the month depending on ovulation, menstrual flow, sexual activity and birth control.
It is not uncommon for the normal discharge to be dark, brown or discolored a day or two following the menstrual period.
If you are having ANY of the symptoms below SEE YOUR HEALTH CARE PROVIDER.
Pain
Itching
Discomfort
Rash or sores alone or with a vaginal discharge

As far as I know the only way you can catch a std from a tolite seat is if you have an open wound on you and you sit in someone elses urine/blood.
Now with that said, you may have had a yeast infection. Yeast infections cause you to have extra discharge of a clear nature. Sometimes you will have itching in your vaginal area as a symoptom of an infection. Most infections will go away on thier own. If it is persistant you should see a doc so she can help you out on stoping it.
If it has a foul oder, seek medical attention. It means something up in there isn't working right. I have expericed a foul oder with yellow discharge once. It turned out I was leaking amniotic fluid from around my unborn daughter. Because I sought help, she was saved.
The third options is arousal. You could have gotten aroused any number of ways and your body reacted to your mental/physical state by produceing what you see as discharge as a natural lubercate for intercourse. This is a normal function of the human body and should be treated as such. I know it is embarassing, but if the fluid becomes to much of a hassle talk to your ob/gyn to see if anything can be done about it.
Best of luck.

Hi,
I would go immediately to the OBGYN for a check up.
I doubt that it is STD and may just be hormones or a change in lifestyle. Have you made any major changes in diet or lifestyle because that may be a factor.
Have you met a new guy and changed your "activity"?
Ok, as long as it has no odor you are probably OK. If it CHANGES GET TO YOUR OBGYN NOW.
I am a guy, but have a partial 7th rib so I figured that it was OK.
If you are going to remove the STRESS you should go to the doc and get a GOOD answer becaue you are probaly NOT going to get it here.
Good Luck,
Jacques

Everyone woman is different you will always have different amounts of discharge throughout your menstrual cycle. It is nearly impossible to get pregnant or an Std of a toilet seat. It would have to be extreme fresh for that to work.

White is the best color for your vaginal discharge to be... I would worry if it was yellow or greenish and smelled bad. Also, each woman is different in the amount of discharge and what it looks like, but if you truly are concerned, go to a gynecologist. Trust me, he/she has seen plenty of vaginas, and plenty of them have been in worse shape than yours. And, yes, there are certain STD's you can catch from toilet seats, like pubic lice. But, things like chlamydia and gonorrhea and that stuff would be almost impossible to catch through that kind of contact. Hope I helped.

Stds are transferred though Bodily fluid. Your body naturally cleanses itself so it is normal to have some discharge. If you are worried about it you should talk with you doctor and if you are not comfortable with talking to him/her you can always talk with your nurse. If that still doesn't work for you ,you might want to choose a new doctor. I work in a office and believe me it is very common and you should not be embarrassed. This is your body and you have to take care of it. Please talk with you physician.

NO! that is PERFECTLY normal!!!!!!!!! I'm assuming you are young...lucky you! You are meant to be very moist..(ewe, sorry) it's all part of your normal vaginal secretions doing their job.
Anything wet, clear, white, light yellowish ect. is normal discharge.
You only start to worry when it's green, stinky, lumpy, dark yellow, bloody, or just looks and smells very foul and strange.
you just know something is wrong because it's obvious.
YOu are perfectly fine. no need to worry, now go to sleep. : )

could have been a bacterial imbalance. when us women use too much chemicals, e.g: soap, shower gel ect. we strip away the good natural bacteria in our vaginas and the bad bacteria overgrows. could have been ovulating then if it was mid cycle. white is normal. if more thick and itchy could have been thrush. if unsure go to genito urinary clinic to get a check up.
