That's not the problem with Bush.
He simply is a dope. And embarassing for that reason alone. His public appearances on the world stage on behalf of America make us all cringe.
I see someone like Tony Blair speak and I feel jealous and angry. Why does the UK have such a great representative of it's nation and culture, and we have a "decider".
That's why most people HATE Bush. He's embarrassing!

Bush, speaking ability not the greatest, but we willing to take political risks. Clinton in office calculated political risks every-step of the way. USA is country within country because there so many different regions in the United States the South is always been more conservative and religious, and the Midwest populist, and the Northeast more Liberal. The other countries may feel Bush is a Bully, but remember USA may be bully at times, at least we wont strave you like the old USSR did.

Disliking the USA? 99% of third world countries just put up with us because we supply food/resources/financial aid to them. All throughout the last 200+ years, we have had many presidents that were arrogant. Some even falling asleep while speaking, or being coached by their wife!
The Answer is YES I am embarrassed by this, however the American People voted for them (Who's to blame).

Bush embarrasses me for many reasons, and yes, that is one of them. During the Republican Convention in 04, it was widely reported that he was advised to be careful of his facial expressions, expressly because of that arrogant smirk. It was sort of funny at that time, watching him struggle with it during his speech. I think it's a lot more than his mannerisms or arrogant attitude that other countries dislike - it's his policies.
Side note: All the answers you received about liberals being disrespectful of the President are ridiculous. I'm a moderate, I'm not anywhere near being a liberal - and everything he's done embarrasses our country. It wasn't liberals who voted the Democrats in for the mid-terms folks - it was moderates like myself - we don't like him either.

It's oft claimed that Thomas Jefferson was a rotten public speaker. It's hard for me to think of an American more worthy of worship.

I am proud to be an American, even when Slick Willie was getting his schlong polished by Monica L. The thing I like most about President Bush...while he may not be a flawless public speaker, he is an awesome Prayer Warrior!!

no and no.
no one is perfect, we all have our faults somewhere. I failed every research paper in high school but passed English every year BC my public speeches were perfect. My mother cant read very fast or well(very dyslexic) but is a nurse that can rattle off a billion different medications and their uses.
As for arrogant, wouldn't you be arrogant if in a country of 3 million, people voted you to rule as the leader of their country?

EDIT: Who gave a thumbs down to the user from another country who complimented Bush?
