you personally can NOT get out. oops sure you can - sell the house and move.
should there be enough anywhere from 60 - 80% of the homeowners in association want out and each have enough money for the court case and time to invest ( around 2 - 3 years) then you might be able to dissolve the association. just don't bet on it .

Are you in a homeowners' association because you own (or are paying a mortgage on) a condo? If yes, then you cannot get out. A homeowners' association is part of the fun of condominium livin'!

Get together with other home owners and vote to disband the home owners association. You aren't the only one who doesn't like it.

Sell your house and move.

Even though there are probably other homeowners in your association that don't like it, the fear of not having it, will outweigh the sense of disbanding it.
