Yes Mario Lanza is great. He has a great Christmas cd called Christmas Hymns and Carols. I love all the Christmas songs but the one I find the most touching is I'll Be Home For Christmas" it always gets me with the lyrics from the person who will not be home for Christmas ,but dreams of someday some way being home with their family and loved ones. There are many good versions by many singers. For albums I would suggest in addition to the Mario Lanza, Lou Rawls Christmas Will Be Christmas The Hollywood Bowl Symphony Orchestra The Music Of Christmas Christmas In The Mood The Glenn Miller Orchestra , Charlotte Church Dream A Dream ,Louis Armstrong and Friends What A Wonderful Christmas, Al Hirt The Sound of Christmas. These are some of my favorites, a very eclectic lot to be sure and let me wish you a Merry Christmas :)

Nat King Cole's 'The Christmas Song'. As a tradition, we opened gifts on Christmas Day while this played (on an 8 track) every year from the time I was a little girl until we each moved away from home

Wow! Mario Lanza! That takes me back! My father used to love Mario Lanza and as a kid, I thought both of them were such squares! LOl Now, I love it! Doesn't he have the most beautiful pure voice! (Didn't he do "Ave Maria" - seems like I remember that?)
But, I also love to hear the Bing Crosby versions of "White Christmas" and "Silent Night" - Silent Night will always be an all-time fav of mine!
