As an addition to my first question, "How soon can you tell if you might be pregnant?" and if I really am pregnant, can birth control destroy the little one?

If you are pregnant then you should stop the BCPs immediately. But wait until you know whether or not you are pregnant. BCPs won't destroy the little one but could potentially cause birth defects and hormonal imbalances that could interfere with your or the baby's health. If your test comes back positive then stop the pills and see your doctor. On a side note, however, if you are regular with your BCPs (same time every single day haven't missed any) you probably aren't pregnant. BCPs fool your body into thinking that it is ovulating (releasing an egg) when it really isn't. Sometimes a single missed pill causes your body to "figure it out" and release an egg. Those are the circumstances where people typically get pregnant while on the pill.

No, but i would ask a doc what to do. You can go top the doc and get a blood test to tell you sooner if you are prego, then you can keep taking pills or get off them. I have not heard of birth defects caused by using the pill, but that doesnt mean it has never happend. Call your doc, or visit the local ER, tell them whats up, they will help.
