at first some of them hard to put on and the cheep ones that are not from apple sometimes rip

It is a good idea to buy a skin for your ipod cause if you drop it, the skin will obsorbe most of the impact. You can find some really cheap at walmart. I have even seen some at the Doloar Tree, and 99c only stores.
