Can anyone tell me if there is a fan inside of the box? THe freezer iced up and I am not sure if a fan died on me or the defrost heaters went bad. The unit is only 1 1/2 years old.

Yes, there is a circulating fan in the box. If the defrost timer went bad or tripped out, there is a red button behind the control settings that you can turn with a screwdriver to reset. Also, clean any dust and accumulated lint from the compressor cabinet. You'll have to pull it away from the wall and get down on your hands and knees behind it. If you don't get results from that, then call for appliance repair.

yes there is a fan and it is at the top of the freezer side sounds like it may be iced up to the point that ice has stopped the fan try giving it a good defrosting then go from there it could be a bad defrost timer you'll find this just behind the control panel on the refrigerator side

The freezer icing up sounds like a coolant problem. Is the refridgerator keeping everything cold.

Should be under warranty.
