Yes, the stamp will be placed on your passport. The tourist card you will give back when you leave the country.

Yes, your passport will be stamped, both coming in and going out. The tourist cards have changed in the last 6 months, you pay your $10, fill out your blue form and then hand it to the agent with your passport. You get a small white rectangular card which you give to the door agent upon exiting the immigration area and you get nothing back. When you leave, you need to fill out another blue form, but you get no white ticket and you are free to leave if your ticket has included the exit fee or if you are less than the legal days in the DR.

Yes, you need a stamp on teh passport. They charge you the 10$ because your not part of the RDR. they ask you if this have been you first trip or if you are dominican. I was going to say dominican to not pay, but my country needs help. There is also a chance you will pass a few people playing and they ask you the pay one American Dollar. Also change your money @ the airport now they give u about 33 Pesos for one dollar. In the Banko De Fed. they give you about 32 Pesos.

I dont know about on the tourist card, but on the passport, yes. Most likely you'll also have to pay about $10 to enter the country and maybe $10 to leave. I dont know why, that's just their thing and it varies from day to day how much they charge and when they do it.
