i have starch but dont have anything to do with it..

Soak yards and yards of a fabric you really like in the starch and apply to the walls of a boring room as if it were wallpaper. If it turns out well , you can leave it up as long as you like and if you hate it, just pull it back off....it doesn't harm the walls in any way. Another thing you can do is randomly wind multi colors of crochet cotton around a blown up balloon until you have a nice open work but fairly dense cage. Cover it in liquid starch and let dry for a few days...then pop the balloon carefully. You can cut a hole in the front and make a diorama inside or you can cut it in half and make two little gift baskets...fill with paper excelsior and use them to give food gifts like cookies or mini muffins.
