Post election reviews showed conclusively that it was the Democrats that tried to steal the election by barring active duty and overseas military members from voting. When those votes were factored in, there was no reason for a recall vote. I have trouble understanding how a discredited theory can keep popping up.

Because Democrats would rather have their fingernails ripped out with flaming pliers than admit when they lost an election. It's just so much easier, not to mention fun, to say the opposition cheated, especially when Dems themselves are so frequently guilty of cheating at the polls. (It's part of their "deny & deflect" strategy.) Remember how they've tried to get Dem voters to use the IDs of dead people in order to get extra votes? "Vote Early and Vote Often" is their motto ;-)

Because it is not popular to believe that a person who cannot read well enough or is not smart enough to use a ballot should nonetheless have their vote counted the way they cast it regardless of their intent (hint: get an absentee ballot). Plus the LibDem apologists who want to pay back their debt for the Civil War, etc., by handing the reins of this country to whomever hurts the white guy the most, even though by doing that the Commies will take over to enslave all people, white, black, brown, yellow, the whole mess.

The truth of the matter is that Florida would have been nothing if Gore took his home state of Tennessee.

People tend to forget that.

HOWEVER, there were irregularities on both sides in Florida.

As far as discredited theories in general go, they will always pop up

Mainly because of Kathleen Harris, Jeb's right hand man (woman). Kathleen did not allow many citizens of Florida to vote in the election. If your name resembled a name that was a convicted felon or if you social security number resembled a convicted felon you were not allowed to vote. Because of this many people that tended to vote democratic were not able to vote during this election.

Oh please, it is SO easy to forget the fact that the SUPREME COURT blocked the recounts in over HALF of the contested precincts (ironically the ones that would have likely gone democrat).

Whose post-election reviews are you referring to? I would assume those constructed by the right-wingers... If you look at any of the INDEPENDENT reviews (if such things can even exist truly in this day and age of media giantism and governmental bullying) you will see that the election WAS stolen, or at the VERY BEST muddied to a point where no one will ever know the truth...

Wouldn't it be nice to have the state election board, the supreme court and the state attorney general in your pocket.. OH WAIT.. THEY DID!

Just think about it...

Because these people cannot believe that the best man won and the democrats, even after all their evil planning to not let the service people vote, George W. Bush won after all. They apparently have nothing better to do than keep harping on issues that are long over to cause more trouble and dissension in our country.

Because the losers who would have won by the popular vote actually lost by the electoral college vote.

That's the breaks.

Besides, when you can whip people into a political frenzy, who cares what the FACTS are?

It's a crazy conspiracy theory since ALL the votes have been counted, Oh i don't know how many times, and never once did Gore prevail.
