Was there ever a book called "Flameboy"? If there is I nead a whole new idea.

Try going to amazon.com and searching for it. You can also go to the Library of Congress website: www.loc.gov and do a copyright search.

Be aware, though, that titles cannot be copyrighted. If it's been used, you can still use it if you choose to do so, and others can use it behind you.

I work in a bookstore, and I've never heard of it.

However, here are 2 drawbacks to the name:
1. People might think it is a "gay book," as many people (offensively) call gay people "flamers." This is RIDICULOUS, but I thought you should know.

2. In the TV show Friends, Phoebe loudly proclaims that Joey's stagename should be Flameboy. Friends fans will just laugh whenever they see the title of the book.

I don't think so.
But there are Flameboy comics, a publisher of adult comics.
