turned your back on a friend or family member for no good reason?

What was the reason?

I have never and will never do such a thing but it has happened to me a few times.

There is still a reason it just wont be a good one. hence my saying for no GOOD!!!! reason!!!

Yes. My brother. We haven't really been best of friends anyway, even as children didn't like each other. When I had just split up with my husband he was telling tales to him, real gossipy stuff and I text my brother saying get yourself a life and stay out of mine. It sparked a fight that ended with me in a+e and I haven't spoken to him in 6 years now. It's a matter of pride, to much water under the bridge now for me to even say hello if I ever saw him again.

In all kinds of relationships things get straind from time to time friends,sibblings,family,parents.But when in times of need i suspect that evrybody no matter the reasons for the falling out would stand by the ones they love and respect.

I can't say that I have turned my back on a friend or family member, lessened the time spent w/them yes. Been tempted too.

Yes, very few times but the depression was the reason behind my foolish action.

Like Scotty's answer, especially if a depressed person perceives a sleight or insult. We can be very sensitive if we are going through a depression period..

Depression is a common cause. Sometimes you need to be on your own and can't face talking to anyone.

not that i can remember but some people might do that because they feel thay might make things worse or detroy everything.
