(Saw this in the news) why?

CONSIDERING how often senior citizens are mistreated and abused in this country, if you had a chance to forget about your problems for a while, and were so old that you didn't have to worry about wasting your life, you'd try to find a way to get a little escape too...

Drugs like marijuana relieve pain and unlike prescription drugs do not cause nausea or loss of appetite...in fact it increases the appetite. When my Dad was dieing of cancer I almost convinced him to give marijuana a try (he was a staunch Baptist) because the drugs he was prescribed made him sick and he could hardly eat. It was sad to watch him waste away.

Because they have lived their lifes and just want to relax, what better way is there than drugs?

they have nothing else better to do.. there retired with money why not catch a buzz once in awhile if i was old and retired i would... i mean i wouldnt be a junkie but id have some fun once in awhile

I haven't heard this...I wonder is it for pain, because they cannot afford their medicine or adequate food???? I would like to know more about it. That is a tragedy. We have to take care of our elderly as well as our children.

you havent said much about what drugs theyve been using, but i know that cannabis helps immensely with arthritis much more so than legal drugs.
