I know a guy who is on probation and owes his p.o. $500 b 4 thurs. or he goes to jail for 3 yrs. About a month ago his g/f received a $2000 settlement check from an accident she was involved in. He told his mom that he was going to pay his p.o. off so he wouldn't go to jail. Instead he goes and blows the money on tvs and an entertainment center. Now he's asking his mom for the money and his mom refuses to help him. Him and his g/f have a two month old daughter. If you were his mom, would you help him or let him go to jail for 3 yrs. because he was irresponsible.

If he has a 2 month old , what the he-- is he spending money on junk for . He should have used the money for what it was intended for . Now he has made his bed , he is going to have to sleep in it . If he cares that little about his g/f and their baby , he deserves to be under the jail !!

My older brother is in prison for life now, after many many chances to do the right thing. He has 6 kids all from different mothers. This guy was irresponsible and didnt think of the concequences obviously. He should go to jail, his gf can always visit.

I would say JAIL. Because he had the money and the chance, to pay for his probation bill. If he used that money to pay off his probation, he would've been ok, BUT NO!!! Instead he decides to use that money for un important matters. IT'S HIS FAULT! He messed up, now he has to pay for the consequences. Doesn't he have a brain? WHAT AN IDIOT/LOSER!!!

Let see... I started to write "let him go to jail... it's his fault he's in that situation and he should have paid the po the money to avoid the jail time" but instead.. I am writing that I would help my son out. But I will make him pay back every last penny and take his tvs and entertainment center as collateral.

If I were his mom, I'd help him.... he'd still be my son and as much as everyone would probably tell me NOT to help him out, I would probably do just about anything to keep him out of jail and help him turn his life around if I could.

No I wouldn't help him because he didn't want to help himself he's just looking for a hand out, actually I think he expected it Tell him to go sell all of his new toys and see if he does, you will soon see because I don't think he will do it, so why should anyone else?

Tough love hurts but helps good luck with that .

Whether he payed it or not it is his mother and help your children till you die ...though at the same time it's hard to think what he will do with the money after the mom will give it to him..my response is give him one chance and if he is responsible good for him ...if he's not too bad for him.....but my final response is a mother will do anything for his children that's what mother's do good or bad.

It's called TOUGH Love. I would take the daughter and say see you when you paid your debt to society. Maybe he'll get the message now- rather than decades from now!
