Is it regular milk, NO! ? Formula well if the baby takes it and has no spit ups or tummy aches then it should be alright. Each baby is different.

Mys son was drinking 3 to 4 ounces at birth and he ate every 2 1/2 hours. Now he drinks atleast 4 ounces every 2 1/2 hours. His Doctor says that it is perfectly ok... an infant will drink when hungry and will turn away when not. Each baby is different. You have to adjust to his/her own growth rate and body type. My son is now 10 weeks and he ways a healthy 13 pounds 13 ounces. The Doc said this to me "if you dont feed him, he will be miserable, and if he is miserable, then you will be miserable. If your baby cries for food, then he/she is hungry..feed him/her."

I hope you mean breast milk or formula because you should NEVER give a 1 month old baby cow's milk!!! With that said, I don't see anything wrong with that. I always gave my kids as much as they wanted. Some babies just eat more than others. My first was a big eater as an infant but my second ate slightly less than average. My third is nursing, so I don't really know exactly how much she takes in a feeding, but I just let her nurse as often and as long as she wants.

Mine was on 5 oz at 1 month. He's 7 weeks now and still takes about that much. It will plateau and slow down, but you should give the baby as much as he/she needs.

Best of luck.

A baby will stop eating when he is full, if not they have the spit up mechanism. To ensure a happy baby feed them what they want. You are not going to have an overweight one month old.

Sounds normal to me. If it's ok or not, the baby knows when it's not hungry or full. An infant will not over eat!!!
