I just tawed some breastmilk in warm water in the ketchen sink and it has some white stuff floating in it. Is that supposed to be there?? if so, what is that?

That's perfectly normal. Breastmilk tends to separate, and that's just fat. (Assuming, of course, that the milk is fairly fresh, and your freezer's in good working order. :))

The breastmilk has separated. It's kind of like salad dressing when the oil goes to the top. Okay, bad analogy but you get the point :-)

It's fine. Just mix it up or shake it and it'll be good to go.

It's probably either little bits that aren't totally thawed OR it's that the milk has separated. Just gently swirl it around and it should mix back up.
