I don't think that it is a sign of getting your period but it could be a sign of an infection of some kind.

I don't think it's a sign of your period at all. If you normally discharge.... don't worry aobut it. If you don't normally discharge, or it's a lot more or different this time... you might have a problem.

If it's really thick, lasts a long time, a lot, or even chages colors... basically anything out of the norm and to the extreme.... you could have:

a) A yeast infection
b) An STD. I know that's scary... but that is one of the signs of an STD. So, if you are sexually active, it's a possibility.

It all depends on your body. For instance, I discharge right before my period, but it's always the smae and it doesn't last long at all. It certainly doesn't change colors.

If it clears up and doesn't really happen again... you should be okay. But, if you want to be safe, go to the doctor and tell him and he can let you know what the cause of it is.

Good luck!

Girl, you are getting your period pronto! Don't worry, it's normal. I don't know how long it will take. Usually, it's different for everyone. Just have a pad in your backpack in case you get it in school and be prepared. Ask your mom, as embarrassing as it sounds, because your period calendars and things like how it started and stuff will be alot similar. She's expirienced! And, if you still have more doubts, go to a doctor. He's there to help you!

Yeah probably so. This must be your first so don't worry lots women have a discharge like that before they start. If you have any itching then it could be an infection, which is normal for lots of women as well. You can get some med for it over the counter at any drug store.

You should see your doc. You're describing a yeast infection. If go untreated the side effects hurt. Like burning when you urinate. Some OB/GYNs says shoulder pain is associated with a yeast infection

Only your hairdresser knows for sure. Show him your drawers and ask him what he thinks.

And if you insist on using "i have the lips of an angel" as your moniker, you'd better start using a photo of some gorgeous fully-formed smackers for your avatar pic or people just ain't gonna believe you. C'mon, let's see those lips!

(The crowd begins chanting, "Show your lips! Show your lips! Show your lips! Show your lips!" Clearly the crowd is having a slow night and is hard up for cheap thrills...)

You didn't say how old you are, but it sounds like you need to see a doctor. What you are describing doesn't sound normal. Good Luck!!

Please be careful. I really do think that if something is going on physical with you you really should go to your parents. They can take the steps to get you to a doctor and find out what is going on.
