The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) is one of the oldest (founded 1909) civil rights groups in the USA.

Due to its notable achievements in the past, as well as its association with famous civil rights leaders of the past, it continues to be of the most revered groups among black Americans.

IN the past 40 years, it has cast its lot with liberal Democrats, mainly because of the alliances formed in the 1950's and 1960's in the various civil rights efforts of that era. This, along with a lack of new ideas to further their cause, has caused their effectiveness to decline as the fortunes of liberalism in general declines.

I saw a car in the ditch one evening in Greenville S.C.years ago.The man was drunk.I drove his car while a friend drove mine to take him home. he was the head of the NAACP. in town.he cussed whites the whole time and when I got there his little grandson spit on me. True.and the NAACP is named after colored people but if you call blacks colored they get angry? Most white support blacks progress in society.and most blacks hate and resent whites.they have a lot of growing up to do .Its a private organization. its leaders at first were mostly all white people.they begain the NAACP in the early part of this century. they only wont to get after and put down whites.not bring up there people. It appears to me anyway.
