I have chest pain everyday, at random times during the day. I guess its just heart burn since it runs in the family. But today, while i was having chest pain, my left arm felt heavy, sore, tingly, and went from warm to cold. It went away in about 30 minutes. But should i be concerned? How can i tell if this is heart burn, or heart problems?

Seriously, go to the doctor! It may be something serious and is not something to play around with if you are having chest pain plus pain in your arm and feeling cold and tingly! It could be a heart problem of some kind!

Sounds like angina, which is not funny. Get to the ER stat. It is no laughing matter about these pains. Let the ER doctor take some chest x-rays and an EKG. The doctor will be able to tell you what is going on. Just be sure not to wait around for a full blown heart attack. It may take your life.

If you think heart attacks and strokes only happen to old people who sit around on their asses and don't get any exercise, i know somebody who had a stroke at 17 years old and now drags her left leg and arm around - her doctor told her she was lucky she wasn't completely paralyzed on her left side! There also was a guy in my hometown who DIED of a heart attack at the age of 29, never had any health problems, ran every day for exercise, and had healthy eating habits - So are you still sitting there, reading answers from people like me, or are you on your way to the ER of the nearest hospital??? The next one could kill you, buddy! Wanna wait around and see if you make it??

This is heart problems. Your heart is in distress. You can take yourself to the doctor, Or you can wait for someone to find you passed out on the floor and they will dial 911. If it happens again ... get to the emergency room, or dial 911 yourself. Healthy looking people die every day. A few years ago a fitness expert died while running. Athletes drop dead while playing.

You need to make a doctors appt, and get a workup, age has nothing to do with heart problems, and this sounds like its a good possibility, not wanting to scare you, but better safe than sorry. It could also be something so simple as a pinched nerve, but you need to let the doctor decide that. Don't ignore this.

Yes, you're young, but chest pain with this feeling in your left arm are a sign that something serious may be going on with you. See a doctor soon. Very soon. Tell him what you told us. Best wishes.

I would go and get it checked out. It could be something else. It's best to know for sure. The only way to tell for sure is to see a Doc. soon.

Those are all early signs of a stroke! Most people just get the stroke no warnings so you are lucky! See your doctor, Monday morning; if you make it till then! Good luck!
