Rather than blame anyone on USC's side, you should give credit to the coaches on the UCLA side, as well as their players. They simply executed better than USC did, and had a good gameplan to stop what USC wanted to do. USC didn't execute as well this week as they did against Notre Dame last week, and that led to a lot of missed chances and points left on the field. But give credit to UCLA. They played the better game.

Considering Pete Carroll is now like 64-12 at USC (and 6 of those losses were in his first season), I think it's pretty laughable to say that he should leave.

I am pretty sure the rest of the Pac 10 wishes he would go away. Maybe too many USC fans have forgotten how the program was between the John Robinson era and the Pete Carroll era, think of the talent they lost to graduation this year and they didnt bother to rebuild....they just reloaded!!!! What more could you possibly want? 2 straight national championships just doesnt hold the same value in todays world I guess! These are still basically kids and they left it all on the field last week and simply couldnt rebound with a similar effort this week.

UCLA still gets some of the best athletes and football playas in the nation. I'm sure on any given day they could beat any team. I watched some of the game and did'nt see Carroll getting outcoached, I just saw a UCLA eam stepping it up and playing well and a USC team that is probably a little overrated.

He has guided the USC Trojans to two straight national championships- and he has recruited players who are as talented as they are full of heart. If there was any question to this, it was answered in what is arguably the game of the ages in USC's 34-31 win in the final seconds against the storied fighting Irish of Notre Dame at South Bend. (I love Notre Dame) but Pete Caroll has revived USC's college football program. I guess time will tell if he will be ranked among the pantheon of the great, all-time coaches- professional and otherwise.

He's good at lining the pockets of Pac-10 officials. So he could get game saving calls. Look at what happened in the Washington Game, and the Game against Oregon, dodgy calls saved their hides. A USC player repeatedly kidney punched a UCLA player towards the end of the game in that glorious USC loss. No call on that. In any other place, that's assault, or a kinky bedroom move..

No he's a hack. He's able to recruit players because hes paying them. look at their recruit classes. They still sucked when he first came, yet they were able to get tons of recruit and not to mention the little reggie bush thing. I will put money on them being on probation within three years. but, he just looks good because he Norman chow installed their offenses and he plays in the pac-10. You could see hes a hack today. unable to get jarret in the game. but it was him going for the 4 downs even tho they got stuffed repeatedly that really lost them the game.
