of the computer, do you think people will appreciate them the same as bought from the store gifts. These were the gifts for my friends, for their children I had to buy them from the store. But what do you think about the gifts made by me. Good or bad idea.

Some of the things I made were like poems written in English and translated to spanish, I typed them in white paper and got flowers from the comp to printer cut them pasted them on the side of the poem.On some I put sprinklers on them, the poems I picked all had a meaning for me and the person Iam giving it to. Another thing I did was made pillow cases 2 each, bougth the material and put the words best friend, friend . with a different type of material on it.the pillow cases were simple to make because it did not take too much sewing.

I think you have done a great thing, Christmas is about giving and
the gifts that you have made by hand have come from your heart and that is the best gift that anyone could ever receive, I had much rather get a gift that was made especially for me from a friend or a member of my family because I know that there was so much love and thought put into the gift not to mention the time that you have put into it. I think you will touch so many hearts by
your gifts that you have made from your heart and your friends will cherish these gifts forever, I know that I would and I intend on doing the very same thing. Anyone can go shopping and pick up items but really where is the thought behind it. You had A very good idea and I thank you for helping me with my shopping. Your gifts will be greatly appreciated and honey if they aren't appreciated then these people are not your friends, so just remember Gifts from the Heart are the greatest gifts of all. God Bless You and have A Merry Merry Christmas!!! Debbie M.

It's the thought that counts. Nothing wrong with a gift no matter if it was store bought or hand made. You are a giving person and if the receiver can't appreciate what you did for them....I feel sorry for them.

It is a great idea. Homemade gifts show a little bit of yourself and how much you care. My kids and I made a plaque for my parents on year when we were broke for christmas and it was writen on the computer and said the 20 things we love about our grandparents. This plaque has hung on the wall for seven years now and I always catch my parents looking at it. Happy Holidays.

Awesome idea! Personally, I think that we get too wrapped up in "store bought, high priced gifts." It's the more personal gifts that have more special meaning...at least I think so anyway...
What kind of gifts did you make? I was thinking of doing something similar with the extended fam.

I think it's great! You reduce the commercialization of Christmas and add to the spirit. Your friends will appreciate them more because they are from the heart. =) I'm glad people still put thought into the holidays.

I think it depends on the person and the gift, some don't like anything homemade, others treasure them. I'm sure most people will love the gifts.
