High self esteem and self confidence is being positive about it to the people around you...arrogance is wanting to make people inferior to you because you think you're all that.

there is a very fine line between these two, the self- confident people though do not need to flaunt what makes them so great. Whereas the arrogant people ( who may or may not be great ) do feel the need to flaunt it. Sometimes arrogant people actually have an inferiority complex, or sometimes they have just been told their great so much that they think they are above other people.

there really isnt a difference, they kinda overlap each other. self esteem is when you are happy with yourself and belive in yourself, and arrogance is when you think you and you alone are better than the rest.
