Ok, so like any other story..i like this guy! im in sixth grade and i do the sport of bowling. Last year I liked a kid named chris, and he bowls too. so every week i would look for him and just stare. But this year he is on my bowling team and im very happy! but he doesn't know i like him, and i want to tell him without freaking him out.....how?
....also....hes in 8th grade!

i think i know what ill do. none of these answers helped so i will let the ppl vote for this one! i have an idea, i will have my bff that bowls tell him that she knows someone that likes him and he has to guess...if he guesses me, she'll tell him yes, if not she wont tell him at all and i will tell him it is me

I understand that you are pretty, etc...., but at this age the age gap is very big, so you won't get the response your looking for. Also, I don't mean to sound rude, but the kind of 8th grader who would go out with a 6th grader, no matter how cool she is, is not an 8th grader you'll want to date. Plus, he might have expectations of you that you shouldnt be fulfilling in 6th grade (and by that I mean making out...and going farther than that). The best case scenario is that he will be insanely flattered, and will say no gently, and either never bring it up again or be nicer to you. The more likely scenario is that he will laugh and talk to his friends about it. You're better waiting until your older, like in high school, and just staring at him now. I doubt that he'd be creeped out, though.
If you still want to, slip him a note, like you said, but dont blame me when youre on here next week crying your eyes out.

Become really good friends with him. Talk to him and relate to him and he'll forget your in 6th grade. Then, when your really goos friends ask him what kind of girls does he like and if there is anyone he really likes now. If he likes you he'll feel really awkward with this question but you should know if he does. He probably sees you as a little kid and if you send your friend to do it he'll keep thinkin the same thing! Show him you're mature enough to go out with him and if you find out your not then just stay friends! p.s. im in 8th i think my advice really will help!

Well, right NOW the age difference will make it so nothing will probably work out. If you still like him in 9th grade, maybe you could do something? In highschool, the age difference doesn't matter as much. Or maybe even when you're in 8th grade, you could do something.
Just be nice to him for now, and do your best job bowling!

I agree that the difference between 6th and 8th grade is pretty huge. I suggest that, for now, you just enjoy his company and let him get to know you.
When you're 7th and he's in 9th, if you still feel the same way, perhaps you could suggest going to a mall or movie together, etc.
You're pretty young for all of this so relax...in time all of this kind of stuff will be happening more naturally.

okay first of all look for a kid your own age, no real 8th grader wants a 6th grader, he probably would more like a ninth grader, and if you still feel compelled to go after him get really good at bowling and if you are ugly you are basically doomed, also just buy him cool things, oh yeah and thanks for the two points!

sorry to break it to you kid but i think he would want to date someone his own age! I remember when i was in teh eighth grade and my friend was going out with someone in 7th it was a big deal! But before you dioanything u have to see if he is intrested. Try flirtiung with . ex hold his hand /talk and look him directly in th eeye and go and touch his shoulder. see how he reacts ! Or ask him to give u a couple of tips! anyway good luck hope it wrks out.
ps no matter what u do.............. don't pass him a note he will think your childish and he and his friends will make jokes!!!

go ahead and spend good time with him you need to acknowledge that he want something else from girls with you possible cant give him. you could have a friendly or brotherly sisterly relation with him.
And as you grow i promise you will find a hot guy of you age but for now dont judge a book by its cover.

I'm in 9th grade so I would try emphasize try to just tell him you know just say " i just wanted to know if you had a girlfriend because i know somone who is interested in you and really wants to go out with you, would you be interested in my friend (make sure he knows its you)
If that sounds weird just say i just wanted to tell you that i kinda like you and i wanted you to know
