What part of "election" don't you understand?

2006-12-02 12:25:50 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 7 5

I think that this is an excellent question. I don't pretend to know all the answers, but I do understand a bit. Bush appeals to a majority of evangelicals, who make up a large percentage of the U.S. population. He had a large "war-chest" going into the election, and some very savvy advisers. Watch the film "Bush's Brain" to understand more about this. We've had absurd presidents before, and, if we survive, we will again, but I think that this one is the worst we've ever had.
I do believe that he should be impeached. He's lied to the American people, and has violated the constitution, but I don't think that it will happen. Although I think that his crimes certainly exceed the BJ that Clinton got.

Although I believe you are really just trying to stir the pot, I will give you my realistic answers to this question. The first election, George W. did not win the popular vote, but he did win the electoral vote. So in all honesty, he wasn't elected by a majority the first time. The second time, he had no problem defeating John Kerry. Mr. Kerry just wasn't a good democratic candidate. President Bush appealed to people's sense of morals and their sense of patriotism and ran his campaign indicating that he would be the moral, good christian who would fight terrorism. In all honesty, he ran the better campaign...better meaning more successful (obviously) than Kerry. And it's really hard to beat an incumbent so that's also a factor in the 2nd time around.

What do you do for a living? Are you a Yale graduate with a higher S.A.T. score than John Kerry and a higher I.Q. than Al Gore? Do you have an Harvard MBA? Did you start and build a successful multi million dollar oil company from the ground up? Or become a co-owner of a major leage baseball franchise? Have you ever been a two term Governor of a state? Have you been a two term President?

Who is absurd? Like Christopher Hitchens said; the George Bush is stupid jokes are the jokes that stupid people laugh at because they think they can proof that they're smarted than the President because they can say he is stupid.

you know why....becuase the peoples votes don't even count it is all controlled by the banks...they pick who they want to be president. people think that the twin towers were bombed by terrorist and thats right they were bombed by terrorist, but not the kind that we think...the terrorist are right here in front of us! No one gets it! terror is from the govermont not from all these other countrys that they try to blame it on! everyone thinks that Lincoln freed the slaves but he actually enslaved us all! people have no idea what the goverment does! they are the terrorist and until people start to realize that we are going to have problems... so, that is all i'm going to say... and you can believe me or you cannot but trust me i know!

Fear. The campaign was run based on making Americans live in fear.

as for him doing this great job Terrorist attacks have dramatically increased since Bush went in to office. We are so in debt our great great great grandchildren will still be paying it off, and we are hated by most of the rest of the world. As horrible as 9-11 was it brought out a true feeling of good will from other countries, yet Bush squandered it with his policies. Even members of his own party are distancing themselves from him.

Because his absurd brother, the Gov., of Florida could not count the votes correctly. It's "All in the family genes." CROOKS...... I would rather have a Dem., in the big house, but you know, sooner or later the truth always comes out and now that it has to a certain extent, everyone is pointing the finger to the Dems. I've got a finger for all of those who thought the war was necessary!
