What is wrong with being a loner?
To me (and I have been called this so many times I now call myself it lol) is a person who can speak there own mind. Does not follow the leader as many people do. Self secure, honest with themselves and others. Dance to there own tune, swims against the tide, all sorts of sayings out there....
In school when a kid this was looked at as the nerd, or the guy who none of the girls liked. The one who at times the teachers even picked on. Or like a gal who is in my original class (graduated early) was abused at home. People did not not this about her for only those who will go out of there way to talk to these kinds of people are the only ones that are trusted with this kind of information.
There was a new kid when in high school. Everyone said he is a loner and decided not to talk to him. I started talking to him and found out it was not his choice to move and come to our school. He was VERY smart, great socially! Started talking to him therefor others started talking to him, he became one of the most popular kids in his class (he was younger then me). Here this kid was a popular kid which I was not. He always talked to me after this!
The word "loner" is not always a bad thing! As a kid I did not understand this saying, now that I am grown up call me this all one wants to, I will proudly say I am a loner!! :0)

I've been called it plenty of times. A loner to me symbolizes an individual. Someone that is strong and can handle most things by themselves. It is often compared to rebels. but, sometimes it can just me a anti-social individual. It depends on the demeanor of the tone of voice how they mean it.

To me a loner is a good thing to be called. It means if someone would say to me, that I don't bother anyone, I don't get in no ones business, and that I like to keep my business to myself. I would loved to be called that.

i know i am one.... but because i dont like alot of the peopl and just have no interest in them.. and also because most just don't pay any attentnion to me.......So it's okay if i call myself a loner...
but it's hurtful when others do and realize that i am a loner.... because not many people want to hang out with loners.......................
so yeah loners........ it sucks

to be a true loner you would not have any emotion about anyone else's petty, self centered, nosy opinion
