Hello, My 3 month old daughter has been:
- drooling like crazy!
- sucking on her lips, toys, fingers-everything!
- she's been a little moody lately and she's also had a slight decrease in appitite, but that has picked up.
I'm curious if you think she may be teething, though her gums don't seem swollen to me, she seems to have all the "symptoms" My doctor says she's a little young for it, however I know it's not impossible for a 3 month old to start teething. What do you think? and then other than baby orajel and teething rings what can I do to help her through this?

Sounds like you have a teether on your hands!
Her gums might not swell right away, in fact they may not swell at all. Babies are never too young to teethe. Some babies are even born with teeth!
Personally, I think she's teething. I would question it if she was just drooling or only had one or two symptoms but she seems to have all of them.
The best thing to do to get her through this is to put pressure on where the teeth are coming in. That's why babies chew while teething because putting pressure on the area relieves the pain. Let her chew on your fingers, her fingers, safe toys, etc.
Don't give her anything frozen like a teething ring. That can bruise her gums and even cause frostbite. Teething rings are fine, but only if they are refrigerated and not frozen. Also, wet a washcloth and set it in the refrigerator for a half hour or so. It'll be nice and cold for her to chew on and will relieve the pain wonderfully.

Try a washcloth that has been in the freezer for a while. The coolness will help numb. The other thing I would try is the homeopathic teething tablets made by little remedies. And just have lots of Patience through this. Its gonna be hard on the both of you. By the way my daughter cut 2 bottom teeth at 3 months.

A lot of people think that their 2-4 month olds are teething, but usually, it's just growth spurts paired with the usual overactive salivary glands (usually pickup in production of saliva around 2.5 months).
If it is teething, you may not see teeth for a while. Every baby is different.

She does seem awfully young to be teething but I wouldn't put it entirly past that. Other then orajel and teething rings the things I've found work best are, put a washcloth in the freezer (don't wet it just stick it in there dry) take it out and give it to her cold, babies love it and it won't hurt them, also frozen waffles work well for babies old enough to eat sollids.

it sounds like teething to me. My advice is to get a clean rag, wash it, wet it, and put it in the freezer for 30-40 minutes. And Viola the perfect pain reliever.

Oh, she's teething, hon! She's teething. Not much else you can do. The frozen teething rings are pretty good, too. They help numb the gums.
