wii is jsut for fun, you would like the joystick on wii, but it takes alittle time to use to it. PS3 just launched, so that you can't get so many games in the market yet. and it is best when you have 1080 P display.
otherwise, just get the xbox 360, it is cheaper and works well on 780P dispalys. and plenty of games out in the market already...

I have a 360 and I love it the game selection is huge at this point plus the systems have been coming down and you can get a premium for less than $350 or so these days. Also the game selection for the Wii and PS3 are going to be slow coming out. The graphics are better

Can't give you a comparison as I only have the XB360. I bought it back in July and for the most part, it works well and the games/graphics are excellent. But, I'm sure like most electronics, there are flaws.
My XB360 was manufactured about 6 months after the initial rollout and I do experience console problems. Game freezes, and the infamous "Cannot read disc" error. From experience, I've attributed the game freezes to sloppy and buggy game code from game companies -- particularly E.A.
The disc error appears to be a hardware issue that Microsoft just doesn't fess up to. There were reports they changed drive contractors and perhaps that's the cause -- who knows? In my case though, the disc error doesn't occur all the time, but enough to realize that MS quality assurance missed something.
All this isn't saying the XB360 I have is a fancy and expensive door stop. I have played game marathons and it's performed well.
The other nice thing is the XB360 game library is quite extensive with frequent new game releases. Good news for your gaming library; perhaps bad news for your bank account.
For the most part, I'm happy with my purchase, but, I'd recommend that if you do get the XB360, get the extended 2 year warranty -- just in case.
Happy gaming!

ps3 is extra useful because the blue ray participant performs video games with extra useful pictures. The x field does no longer have a blue ray participant so the images appear as if s***. I actually have by no ability have had any problems with the web. The free on-line money owed and the the web (isn't free) is large. And the ps3 has a equipped in instant adapter and the adapter for x field is $100. and the x field receives the pink RING OF demise extra uncomplicated that the ps3 receives the ORANGE mild OF DOOM. all in each and every of the ps3 is a lot extra useful. and the purely truly reliable element that the xbox has is halo :)
