I have heard of absolutly nothing about this and my Google search only turned up a Forbes article from 2005.

The article is about the 360 and says so in the article, but it uses 180 as a sort of pun about the about face Microsoft was attempting to take with the 360.

My only guess is that article was misinterperted and the 'telephone game' took over from there.

Well I've given both Xbox's the 180. I was going to buy a 360 but since they weren't in stock I decided to give them a 180. So Yes, there's what you call an Xbox 180, and it's already out!

That don't make no sense. Why would the maker of Xbox come out with a 360 and afterwards come out with something lower in number that don't make no sense. I did not hear anything about xbox 180 coming out. But I really doubt it.

this is a rumour about MS making a handheld gaming device like the PSP. it'll supposedly be half as powerful as the 360 with a 5" screen, built in wi-fi, and the ability to access your media center PC. it was definitely built as a prototype but its likely to not be produced as anything more. chances are its not coming out but there is still hope...
