at this point even a prison sentence would be worth it just for some time off, should I flip out and give the evil little shite what for?

As tempting as it is to line her up, and bring her down, is it seriously worth you spending time in jail?
Do you have any children? If so then don't lower yourself to her level of evilness, and think of the children.
May I suggest that you start logging her antics, I mean; phone calls, texted messages, damage to property (take photo's) and so forth. If you have any witlessness's to her antics, then get them to report it to the police.
Contact police and talk to them how you are supposed to deal with a vindictive ex, apply for an intervention order on her, so she can not contact you, come near you and so forth. They may also contact her, and warn her off.
Also contact a lawyer who deals with this particular field of law, "harassment", and give them the information you have logged and collected.
The lawyer maybe able to send her a letter warning her of the consequences of continuing the harassment towards you.
Sorry I can not be more of an assistance, but please DON'T lower your self to her levels, it only make you look worse, and its properly what she wants.

Sorry but I wouldn't be hassled by anyone for a long period of time. I was married to a wife beater for 2 years when I was young (30 odd years ago) and ran away from this Jekyll and Hyde character to save my sanity and the life of my little girl. I would say move, change your town and reinvent a new life far away. You could always come to Spain there alot of people living here who are running from something or someone. (I'm not one of them by the way!!)
I know some people would say why should I change my life it's her that's being the little shite....well peace of mind is a great thing to have, I'd move anywhere for a happy life, wouldn't you?

Had the same problem once. Pay a little friendly visit to your local police department. Tell the desk clerk a quick version of the problem. Ask if there is someone you may speak to regarding how best to handle the problem. Most likely you'll be referred to a detective. You can sit down in an office and discuss your options.
The detective I spoke with was cool. He asked me to return with a photo, told me how to have harassing phone calls traced, and I went home to consider which of the three options we had discussed would be best for me to pursue!

No you should not flip out, I had the same for 2 years, he flipped out and is now serving 6 years for assault, you can take out an injunction or contact the police, keep a diary of events but dont react, otherwise you are no better than her.

Are you contained in the protection rigidity? did you understand what that is like? for sure no longer convinced you listed some motives as to why human beings might want to get out after 4 years. perhaps you hate the existence style, having others run your existence and inform you what you may and cant do , the position you may or cant bypass, once you need to be there.. plus so a lot extra while not having an option. Plus some human beings are available in for 4 years and bypass to school and then get out with job journey in a occupation and a level in the direction of that, others might want to do the 4 years get out and then bypass to school with the GI bill in certain situations they don't even opt to get a level purely the job journey, that is not any different then going and dealing a job for 4 years and then switching to a distinct one after that. in case you opt for to bypass there then i'd say that i might want to locate going to school for 4 years unnecessary once you may want to paintings a job for 4 years. there are a range of of motives as to why human beings get out of the protection rigidity after a 4 3 hundred and sixty 5 days enlistment and also you may't totally understand till you serve time contained in the military.

Turn the tables, harass her back. Stalk her everywhere she goes, break into her house and move things around. Smash her car up?!

real easy every time you have a problem with her harassing you report it to the cops after a while they get tired of filling out reports and if they harass you report them until they are so fed up they nail her for anything they can wether it happened or not
