I think to them....they don't stink. It's just their natural smell. If skunks thought skunks stunk, we probably wouldn't have any baby skunks.
Remember that skunk from the movie Bambi....he thought he smelt like flowers!

No, skunks like most animals don't really know they just respond to stimuli. In this case, if they feel threatened they will spray you!

I don't know, do skunks spray each other? There are baby skunks, so they must not find each other too awfully offensive.

They probably don't, just like people don't know either. What I mean by that is, we just get used to our own scent whether it be good or bad. Like when we put on perfume, for example. We don't smell it after a while, but others can :)
