How can I safely circumcise myself?

I was not circumcised at birth and I want to be circumcised. I do not have the curage to tell this to my mom, and she probably wouldn't let me have it done anyway. I have decided to circumcise myself. I have read about other people doing this and I think it can be done safely if you know what you are doing and have correct supplies.

Can somone please help me with exactly how do do it, what to use to numb myself, and what I need. Thanks.

This is a very serius question and IS NOT A JOKE, even though it may appear to an un-intelagent person as a joke. Please, SERIUS ANSWERS ONLY. If what you have to say is something like "circumcision is bad!!!" or "that is not a safe thing to do to your self." please do not answer. Thank you.

I have already decided to do this, and I am not changeing my mind. So how about telling me how to do it as safely as possible, instead of flameing me like this?

I don't think you would be happy with the do-it-yourself results. You might make a wrong cut somewhere. Then what would you do? This is something very important that could affect you for the rest of your life so why take the chance of botching it up by doing it yourself? If you are really determined to become circumcised then please save the money for the operation to be done in a hospital....you wouldn't neuter your own dog would you?

If your reason is because you don't think women would like you uncircumcised then I think you are wrong. I've had both and while it doesn't really matter I found uncircumcised guys more "fun".

Are you are worried about the way your penis looks because it is not circumcised or you just want this to do be done because most other males are circumcised? Either way, if you do not have this done by a doctor it WILL NOT LOOK the same way as done by a skilled professional. Not to mention a very serious infection. If you are not concerned about the pain while doing the procedure be very aware of the pain when infection starts in, not to mention the swelling or the fact that peeing (if you can) would cause an incredible amount of pain that no numbing product can stop. If you plan of ever having sex in your future not only are you risking great embarrassment from scaring and disfigurement, you may also not be able to function normally. WHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All this just to be circumcised? And... when having girl talk with my fellow girls........I have always heard it makes a man's penis look larger (why would you want to take that away?) PLEASE do not do this, it is unsafe, you risk more than your personal reasons, and can cause severe harm to yourself and even death.

there is a reason that you are knocked out during an operation such as this.

the process is VERY complicated, it involves removing a large complicated section from your body, and you cannot perform something like that on yourself in a safe manner, it cannot be done.

it is a complicated process, not just a simple snip as some people would have you believe, there is also a -large- amount of pain involved, it's going to be sore for about 2-5 weeks afterwards, and even touching will make it hurt, while your physically doing it what will keep you from making a mistake, or passing out?

your also at the risk of dangerous infections without sterile enviroments and equipment.

you cant do this operation on yourself, do -not- attempt it.
if you are dead set about circumsicion, then go to a qualified doctor, or a foreskin friendly urologist for a consultation.

do not attempt it yourself, either leave it alone, or get a qualified doctor to perform the operation. and your mom shouldn't have a say in this because at the end of the day its your body, and its a decision you need to make of your own free will.

Okay, listen to me, I was in the same boat. I know you may have "decided" this on your own, and in truth there are ways to circumcise yourself. None of these ways are effective enough to produce a good result, and all will be ridiculously painful (remember you're not qualified to administer anything more than a topical local anesthetic to your member; usually for a circumcision it should be injected, unless you want to pass out from the pain...). You risk MAJOR infections, possibly even gangrene, which would require amputation of your penis. I don't think you'd like that too much.

That said, I totally understand your embarrasment about talking to your mom about this. I couldn't, and still haven't. Instead, I would highly highly recommend talking to your doctor about it now. They're officially bound to be confidential, and even if yours tends to have a loose mouth, if you tell him or her you don't want your parents to know, they'll shut up about it.

If you want to do this for a cosmetic reason, you're probably better off saving up your money, waiting until you're 18 and then just paying for the operation when you go off to college. If you're having problems with your foreskin, I suggest talking to your doctor who can declare it medically necessary and then do all the talking to your parents for you.

get some local anaestheeitc, some drugs to stop you getting erections during healing, inject yourself to numb any pain, when numb, get a scalpel blade and some catgut sutture with needles, this should be availbale privately on ebay, pull the skin back, cut below the nerve endings of the inner layer, so you dont ruin all those nerve endings, then cut again about the length of your nob down from there. Stitch up the raw skin. Take the drugs to stop the erections and refrain from masturbating until fully healed or the stitches will rip and you may bleed to death. I do not advise you to actually attempt it yourself, as it could be very dangerous and you could easily kill yourself, but if bottom line no ones talked you out of it yet, this is how to do it, ive never attempted actually doing this myself and cannot vouch for its safety and the whole thing is at your own risk.

you are "un-intelagent." dude, if you can't spell, you can't perform a surgical procedure on yourself. not only do you risk infection, you risk bleeding to death, and mutilating yourself. if you hate your penis so much, just put a heavy-duty rubber band around it until it falls off.
i think you're full of **** and looking for a bunch of attention from strangers. get a life and grow up.

**addendum** i hope everyone continues to "flame" on you, because you are about to commit a seriously ignorant act upon your body, that you may end up having to undergo a series of surgeries to fix. hope you can handle pain dude...now knock it off. none of my 3 sons are circumsized...i can't even tell you how many men have told me they hate the fact that they are circumsized, and had no choice in the matter.

**in another question, you stated you are 13 or 14 yrs old, and your penis is 2 1/2 long...if you perform a circumcision on yourself, you may cut off more than you meant to, and end up with less than 2 1/2 inches, and severe damage to your urethra. you're still young, and developing...wait until you're fully developed before considering circumcision...you may even change your mind about it by then. or at least have insurance or enough $$ saved up to have a competent doctor do the surgery.

The safest way to do it, is go talk to your mom, and have her take you to a doctor.

1. You could get a serious infection, and maybe have part of your "friend" amputated.

2. This way if an infection sets in anyway you will be under a doctors care, and they can fix it right away.

3. If you are not mature enough to tell your mom, what makes you think you are mature enough to perform surgery on yourself.

4. You don't want us to answer if we are telling you not to do it yourself. But all of us that are telling you it's not safe are right, and you should listen.

My first question to you is "how old are you?" Secondly, since you can't talk to your mom about it, do you have someone else to talk to, for an example, a grandparent or a friend or even a doctor you can trust? Please don't try this. I don't think circumcision is bad, but it's a surgical procedure, not a do-it-yourself project. Wait until you can afford to pay a medical professional to do it for you. Really. You could die from any number of complications, including loss of blood. They actually did an episode about this on "Nip/Tuck".

I don't want to be cruel, but did you REALLY think someone was going to help you do this? On this site?
