Boise State won't finish higher than #5, but considering how far they've come, that's not bad.
Rumour has it they are expanding their academic programs and facilities (as well as sports) to bring themselves up to "BCS conference standards". Don't be surprised if Boise State tries to enter the PAC-10 by 2012.

To those who whine that "Boise State hasn't played anyone", either learn the facts or shut up. The so-called "mid-major" teams (Boise State, Fresno State, Louisville, BYU, Houston, etc.) WANT to play BCS teams but the BSC teams say, "No".
Boise State isn't running away from OSU, it's OSU running away from Boise State. If you can't understand why, think back:
1990: BYU 28-21 Miami (#1)
The Hurricanes never recovered and lost the national title.
1992: Fresno State 24-7 USC (#23)
In a _bowl_ game, for crying out loud!
"Mid-major" schools _probably_ won't win, but they ARE capable of winning against BCS schools, which is why BCS teams like Michigan choose small fry (eg. Div. I-AA) or weak teams (eg. Northwestern) to beat up on. BCS schools would rather have an easy win than take a risk.
DON'T blame Boise State and Louisville, they are ASKING for games against BCS schools. It's the BCS schools who are running away.

Boise St. struggles away from their smurf turf. They haven't played anyone either. So if they were in a championship game it better be played @ their smurf turf to even have a chance. But it doesn't matter Michigan will be playing the stupid nuts
