I used to love the ABC Afterschool Specials. They were always overly dramatic, poorly acted, and totally lame, but man I loved those shows!

When I was a kid, we played outside after school until dinnertime. In cold weather we played games or listened to music. We rarely watched TV. There were only 4 channels on the TV dial, and programming ended at 10 p.m. I am 48 by the way!

When I was growing up, and no matter how much homework I had, I always watched Casper the friendly ghost, Banana Splits and HR Pufnstuff- sounds lame by todays standards, but I adored them.

i change into into PBS programming. Sesame street, Mr. Rogers, electric powered agency, romper room, Magic backyard. after I were given older my favorites were Scooby Doo and Tom and Jerry and The Smurfs on Saturday morning cartoons.

I couldn't wait to come home to watch my favorite cartoons back-to-back like Transformers and G.I.Joe .. then waiting for my folks to come home from work while What's Happening and Different Strokes were playing.
