I went from focusing on myself and my wants to my family's needs and wants the year my toddler got cancer. The world was all about me, and then my baby was dying. Suddenly, everything became minor and I realized that working toward the family's happiness contributed to my own.

He survived, and we're working toward the future as a group. It's hard going sometimes, but it's not all about me any more!

The word greatest it sounds so BIG. I assume I have done many things that I could consider very good that made me feel good, unselfish things but I am not sure if I have reached that greatest category. I would say I think the reason I am having difficulty feeling that I have accomplished such a great thing in my life may be because I have realized that I am a sinner, weak and no where near my Savior Jesus Christ. Great things are harder to achieve when you see what greatness really is.

I want to die for something like Jesus or even like Brave heart. Not sure I have the guts but I would die for my children.

I grew up deaf and everyone had always told me that I would never ever hear and I have to live that way all my life.

When I was 35, I decided to find someone that could help me hear. I was finally fitted with hearing aids that helped me and my life changed at that moment.

Lesson...don't believe everything people tell you until you have exhausted all your options on your own!
