Ballet dancers are typically between 5'3 or so and 5'7... it really depends on the company.
Whether or not you will be accepted into a company depends on a) how your height fits in to the rest of the corps' height and b) the height of the men in the company. For partnering to work, the woman must generally be a couple inches shorter than the man. If a company has a tall man, than it can work with a taller than average woman to partner with him.
Hope this helps!

there is no rule that says you have to be of certain height to be a ballerina. the trend these past decades is to go for the elongated look. taller people look great onstage but there are companies still where shorter ballerinas do just as well as the tall ones... take the Royal Ballet. Zenaida Yanowsky is very tall and she needs tall partners. On the flipside, Alina Cojocaru is tiny and her partner Johann Kobborg is not so tall either. Both ballerinas share one trait though, thay are exquisite dancers and they have found a place where they can shine. A ballerina's qualities will always win out over height issues. Just be at the right place and time.

Well, i think that they are many heights you can be... but never too tall... you see the thing is if you are too tall, you may need a taller guy or someone who will at least be as tall as you... I think for a group dance, they may want a certain height to help make it more organized but no... i don't think there is a very specific height! don't worry, just be the best ballerina you can and people willl love you girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Not nessicarly....then can be to heavy but usually height doesn't matter although it depends on the company and your partner if you are in a varation without a partner there should be more exeptions.... Average of professial dancer usually between 5'2" and 5'9" usually if your taller it's harder for some roles but I think if your just training or doing it for fun and exercise then it doesnt matter....I'm sure everyone was just as helpful as I was but I gave it a shot........Are you thinking of becoming a dancer? How tall are you.....?

The average height is 5' 2"- 5' 9" if it's classical ballet. Taller is usually more stunning on stage though, so most companies have long-legged tall, women and tall men that are farley strong when doing adagio (partnering). The average weight is 80-120lbs. most companies want thin, wastless women. They also want small bust on the women.

I think that the average height for a ballerina is between 5'2" - 5'6".
When you are short your body moves batter and look actually better but If you are taller it is harder to dance ballet. Hope this helped a little!!=)

yes you can be too tall. you dont want to tower over the man when you're on piont. BUT some modern or lyrical companies like that tallness and you have a better chance of getting in. it all depends on which company you want to join.
I'd say 5'6" is a good hieght, any taller than 5'10" is a bit to tall.

You need to be taller than your partner on pointe. So, it can really vary, first of all between ballet companies, but secondly, it can vary depending on the male leads.
Technically, I guess you can never be too tall as long as you can find a partner taller than you.
