I'm trying to find a good boy's name that goes well with last name Cyr (pronounced Seer). French origin a plus but it doesn't have to be.

If it is a girl I think we're going with either Cydney Cyr or Charlotte Cyr.

Wow I'm suprised at how many people are recommending one syllable first names. Wouldn't something longer sound better with such a short last name?

Can you spell Cydney like that? does it have to be CC initials. What about Cevin, Calvin, Curtis, Chris, Cameron, Cuthbert, or Cyril Cyr?

No one will ever be able to pronounce that childs name, and he'll have to put up with not only people spelling it wrong, but calling him weird thigns because they cant read it.

I knew a kid with name like that, he went to school at the same school for 13 years, come graduation day the person calling up students couldnt pronounce his name, it took two additional facaulty members to figure it out, eventually one of his current teachers called him up.

Not to mention he had to spell and recite his name for every class and new teacher he was ever in. And every public situation, every form he filled out, every new doctor, every person who ever wanted to write his name....

I'd never do that to a kid.

As for fiding names. Get a baby name book and look through it, theyre like 5 - 10 bucks and excellent for passing the time.
