my daughter is one month old, and i have been trying to find a good bottle for her. A lot of people recommend playtex bottles because they do not let air mix with the milk. I went and got the bottles , started using them but the problem is milk does not flow through them. It is very very slow, did that happen with some one else too?

Then i tried Gerber stage 1 and milk flows too fast. what should i do?

Try the AVENT bottles. They are the best and seem not to get clogged. If you dont want to fork out the extra money for a new bottle, make sure the formula is totally mixed. Sometimes there is a chunk of formula that clogs it up.

I soooo understand. I had a similar situation with the Playtex Ventaire. They work great when theres a hole in the nipple!! I just took a fork and put a hole in the nipple. It flowed just right until she had to move up. I thought it flowed to slow at first then realized it was a defect on their part. I couldn't even suck any thing through it!!! Stage 2 was the same.

Stage one is for newborns who cant handle a fast milk flow. Get nipples designed for a higher stage. Each company makes different nipples with different milk flow for each stage. Theyre not all the same, you'll have to pick the right nipple for the bottle.

Yes my baby hated the bottles. I used my sisters bottles on my baby after sterilizing because she wanted to trade, after using them I was very unimpressed and the milk was too slow for her. Mabye you can try avent they are not to fast and not to slow. Slower then gerber and faster then playtex in my experience.
