I love the holiday season. I would much prefer to enjoy it in the snow but I live in the flat lands of Cali and would have to drive to get to the snow. I'm not crazy about driving on flat land let alone in the snow, so I just gave at it through pictures.

The holiday makes me feel warm and cozy and brings out the "giving" nature in me more so than any other time of year. I miss the family settings I was accustomed to when I was younger. My family has changed as we got older and lost our parents. So, I long for the holiday but wish I could have "happier" less dramatic moments so that we could enjoy the holiday, the shopping expeditions, the music and the beautiful decorations; especially the houses in certain neighborhoods. I always feel I am in some magical land where everything is beautiful and peaceful around this time. I love it.

This is also the time that I want to bake delicious goodies and share with friends.

The holidays make me giddy, honestly I don't know how my husband tolerates me during these months.. starts in October with Halloween and doesn't end until the 2nd of January when I have to take down my Christmas tree (because he makes me) and then I cry because it's all over... I run around shopping, crafting, baking and cooking until I fall down with exhaustion! I love the holidays
On the other hand it makes him sad, he misses his Dad alot during these months and so he takes the kids and leaves me to my happiness *shrug* can't help it, I love it I'm a big kid for 3 months and nothing can make me mad.. not even a burnt cake!

I found immense joy in buying gifts for the people I love and giving money to those who truly need someone to help them to get a leg up in life. I just love pleasuring people or helping them out. But now I am disabled and living on social security. The coffers are usually bare and it just breaks my heart that I can do nothing for the people I love or those in need. I cannot possible express just how horrible this feels.

Sorry to take heed to your Christmas would be lonely. My family is extremely super and all of us stay in close proximity to a minimum of one yet another. the vacations are joyous and we consistently could reserve area at a community activity midsection to have our holiday dinners. I do wish you have a Merry Christmas even however you would be on my own.

Wonderful. If I hear a certain Christmas song I think back to my childhood memories of Christmas. I just love the holidays!

Great if I have beer, not so great if I don't have beer. (I would prefer spirits, but am not 'wealthy' like your fortunate self.)
