Funny you asked! My friends laugh because for a long time, I've been compiling a list of songs that I'll eventually burn to a CD or two. I have always disliked viewings because they're so sad. Everyone just sits around for a while, lost for words to comfort those left behind, instead of celebrating the life of the one who just died. I think half of the problem is the somber atmosphere. To remedy that at my funeral, they'll be playing CD's of my favorite music, and if the old folks don't like it, they can leave early!

For the sake of my family and friends, I would want "Cry Out to Jesus" by Third Day at my funeral. Whenever I hear it on the radio I tell everyone in the car, "Thats my funeral song".

I think it would be encouraging to family or friends of one who has passed away.
